Mac campus software via Samba
For users of Mac OS X, the Macintosh campus software is offered via the SMB (Samba) protocol.
It is recommended to use a recent version of Mac OS X.
Important note
If error messages occur when a disk image is opened directly on the server, the image should be copied to your own computer and opened there.
Instructions
The notation "intern\shortname" is also possible, but does not work on all systems.
After successfully logging in, you will see all the software products assigned to you.
Each product is stored in a directory, with (depending on the product) sub-directories differing by language, system or version. For each product directory you will find a file called Read_TU.txt, which can be opened with any text editor (e.g. Notepad, Notepad, ...). It contains important information such as serial numbers or installation instructions.
Be sure to read these notes before installing.
If you cannot connect to the software server, please note the following:
- Your network must be properly configured and wired.
- Your computer must be connected to the TUnet (VPN from the home office).
- With our Portchecker you can test if the software server is accessible from your computer.
