Linux Mint & Ubuntu

There are a wide variety of Linux variations, so we can only describe the basic procedure here. If the graphical interfaces are not used, the following command can still be run on the console be used (if the cifs file system is installed):

mount -t cifs -o username=<username>,domain=intern //products.tusoftware.tuwien.ac.at/staff /<mountpoint>

The user name of the TU account (upTUdate) is to be used.

The mount command can only be run as root or with sudo.

Mint (above) and Ubuntu (below) are used as examples for graphical environments under Linux.

First open your file explorer, e.g. your personal folder

Select "Connect to server..." from the menu

Enter the corresponding data and click Connect.

Enter as data (depending on the system, not all details are prompted at once, some may be suggested automatically)

You should then be able to see and use the content of the SWD server.
