Cloud Data
Some manufacturers offer cloud storage with their products. This storage can be very practical, but also has disadvantages. We therefore ask you to consider the following things, among others:
- Cloud storage is not within TU.it's access area. We therefore cannot guarantee that access will work at a specific time or from a specific network.
- Cloud storage is not subject to backup by TU.it. Therefore, please make sure that your backup is as up-to-date as possible.
- Cloud storage of products is generally irreversibly deleted when the license is lost. Therefore, please ensure that you have saved the data before canceling your order.
- Cloud storage is often made available and synchronized on multiple devices. Deleting on a computer therefore generally deletes the data in the cloud and on all other synchronized devices.
- Cloud storage is generally linked to a user. Therefore, when working in a team, note who owns which data and which data may therefore be deleted, e.g. when a member leaves.
- With some products, team cloud storage can be transferred to a private product. Therefore, when a member leaves a team, for example, clarify which data may still be available to them after leaving.
- Licenses are managed automatically. Errors in other management systems could result in the temporary loss of licenses. Please note that cloud data may be deleted in such cases.
- Licenses are immediately revoked if the subscription authorization is lost (e.g. end of the term of a 'weiterer Mitarbeiter', study authorization, etc.). In such a case, access to the data is also immediately no longer possible and the data is deleted after a product-specific period.
